Santa turned on the Sun as our Beautiful Mums and their gorgeous Pepi joined Shelley Racheal and Phallyn at Awarua Social and Health Services for the first Mother N Pepi Christmas party. Santa was in action a BBQ, and heaps of yummy Deserts! Check out the photos in the photo section.

The Celebration of 21 years providing Social Health and Education services to Whanau in the south was celebrated On Friday the 4th of December in the Wharekai at the beautiful Te Rau Aroha Marae. 100 well wishers joined both current and former staff to share all the wonderful achievements of the services in our first 21 years. A wonderful lunch was supplied and many laughs.
Kaumatua Kuia Christmas Party

On the 2nd of December Awarua Social and Health services staff held their Annual Kaumatua Kuia Christmas party at Te Toimarangi Marae. Aunty Frances had the Party well entertained with a performance from Te roopu O Murihiku kapa haka group Te Wai Pumanawa and what a wonderful display it was. Many thanks to the staff who dished out over 70 meals in a fashion that Gordan Ramsay would have been proud of.

This was awesome! Steph Blair(PAFT) Phallyn Rangitaawa, Rachel Maheno(Whanau Ora)Jade Unahi(Rangatahi worker)Kane Johnson and Maania Niha(Management) along with Charles and Aaron some Awarua Whanau put in 5 weeks training leading up to the corpor8 rowing event held annually by the Waihopai rowing club. This was our first year in the competition and we ensured Greg and Mark our coaches, had their work cut out for them! Jess our cox from Southland Girls was awesome! Our races on the day were as follows Race 1 4th Race 2 4th(and we rowed with only 7!!) Race 3 'G Grade' Final ....WIN A big thanks to the coaches and our cox, and awesome work to our crew check out the photos on the photo page...
